Spotlight Series – Bug Count with Pacific Streamkeepers
The CTS Spotlight Series is aimed at showing how youth can get involved and active in their own community by showcasing other programs offered by our partners.
For this month’s Spotlight Series, we’re exploring the mysterious world of… BUGS! Time to get our hands dirty!
ZoAnn from the Pacific Streamkeepers will be leading us through a bug count, an important practice done in order to get a good sense of the health and wellness of a stream and it’s surrounding ecosystem. While she teaches us all about the intricacies of bugs, we will have our CTS youth and staff on actual streams, showing you all what we’ve found!
The Pacific Streamkeepers Federation (PSkF) is a non-profit society committed to supporting community groups involved in Streamkeepers activities throughout BC and the Yukon. Not only do they help support these existing network of streamkeepers, but they provide teaching and guidance on how YOU can become a streamkeeper yourself!
Who can join: Anyone and everyone! Whether you’re a long-time CTS youth, a curious student, or a excited parent, we would love to see you!
Where: In your own room! We will be hosting this online. If you miss it, it will also be streamed and recorded so make sure to register to receive those links.
