Catching the Spirit (CTS) is a non-profit organization that aims to connect every youth in Metro Vancouver with their natural environment, their community, and with each other through life-changing outdoor experiences. Our motto is “for youth, by youth”.
We’re so glad you’re here. Let us introduce ourselves…
We are a non-profit organization that connects youth with their natural environment, their community, and each other.
For over 20 years, we have curated a space that allows youth to get their hands dirty, spend time outside, burn marshmallows, capture the flag, eat carrots from their own community garden, tell stories around a campfire, teach each other life lessons, learn outdoor skills, and learn even more about themselves.
We are dedicated to developing leadership and social responsibility in youth through outdoor recreation, environmental stewardship, and youth ownership.
To put it simply, we are for youth, by youth.
To connect every youth in Metro Vancouver with their natural environment, their community, and with each other through life-changing outdoor experiences
For youth, by youth.
The Vision(s)… we’re ambitious
- Create region-wide opportunities for youth to challenge themselves in leadership, social responsibility and personal development.
- Provide youth with opportunities to connect with their community through citizen action, environmental stewardship, public service, and community education.
- Support and integrate youth into park and community-associated activities and purposes.
