CTS Youth Society offers a variety of amazing programs for youth.
Whether you are a beginner or experienced in the outdoors, looking for weekday, weekend, year-long, or volunteer activities, there are great opportunities at CTS for everyone!
Our summer camps are designed for youth ages 12-14, but open to all teens under-18. These camps run every week and weekend during the summer months. During these camps, youth will have a chance to practice camping skills such as tent building and outdoor cooking. In addition, our participants will enjoy park projects organized with our Partner organizations, group building activities, camp games, eco-learning, and nature walks. CTS offers both weekday day camps and weekend overnights. Get out there this summer, give back to our community, and learn more about ourselves and our natural environment. Check out our brand new overnight camp Mishkoopitum for a CTS experience like no other!
The Peer Leader Program is a volunteering opportunity for teens aged 15-18 who want to be more involved with CTS and work with our experienced staff to lead our camps! During this program, volunteers will practice leadership, eco-education, social responsibility, and programming skills in a fun, collaborative environment. Earn volunteer hours, pad your resume, get a reference letter, and a certificate of completion. Plus, get a head start on joining our CTS staff team in the future!
The CTS Youth Council consists of a group of teens, aged 15-18, who dedicate time beyond leading camps in the summer to keep the CTS vibes going all year long! These passionate youth help plan events, fundraisers, and outreach plan to keep the CTS community connected in the offseason. All Youth Council events are open for anyone who wants to attend.
