Our programs are “for youth, by youth,” meaning that every aspect of camp, from the breakfast menu to the day’s activities, are influenced by our participants. Through outdoor adventures in Metro Vancouver regional parks, we focus on connecting youth with nature, each other and their community.
CTS Youth Society offers a variety of amazing programs for youth. Whether this is your introduction to the great outdoors or you are a seasoned explorer, there are programs for everyone at CTS Youth Society!
CTS Youth Society runs both day and overnight camps in four amazing locations throughout the Lower Mainland: Tynehead, Burnaby Lake, Pacific Spirit, and Capilano River Regional Parks. From educational Weekday Excursion Camps to multi-day Overnight Adventure Camps under the stars, each camp has its own charm, ecosystem and camper experience.
Peer Leader Program
Our Youth Leadership Program equips CTS youth members (age 16-18) with training to become volunteer Peer Leaders. Peer Leaders are trained in leadership, program development, outdoor recreation and outdoor safety to plan and lead camp excursions in Metro Vancouver Regional Parks (with support from experienced CTS staff). Their hard work helps make our “for youth, by youth” programs the best they can be!
The CTS Youth Council consists of a group of youth (aged 15-18), who dedicate time beyond leading camps in the summer to keep
CTS thriving throughout the school year. These passionate youth help plan events, fundraisers, and outreach to keep the CTS community connected in the offseason (September-June).
