FAQ

How much does it cost to participate in CTS Youth Society Programs?

Nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Thanks to our generous supporters and donors, CTS Youth Programs are completely FREE for all participants.

However, there is a $10 administrative fee for late-cancellations.

What is the age range of CTS Youth Society participants?

Overnight Adventure and Weekday Excursion Camps are designed for youth ages 12-16, but open to all teens 18 years and under.

The Peer Leader Program and Youth Council are designed for teenagers aged 15-18.

How many people attend each CTS Youth Camp?

2 Camp Counsellors, 4 Peer Leaders, and up to 20 participants attend each CTS Youth Camp.

What will I do at camp?

That all depends on what camp you register for! Check out our Programs page for specific answers.

What do I bring to camp?

Weekday Excursion Camps: Sun hat, water bottle, extra layers for weather and warmth, backpack, bug spray, sunscreen, and sturdy footwear (ideally waterproof), and a bagged lunch with snacks. We’ll take care of the rest.

Overnight Adventure Camps: Sun hat, flashlight, water bottle, a fresh change of clothes, extra layers for weather and warmth, backpack, bug spray, sunscreen, sturdy footwear (ideally waterproof), toothbrush, toothpaste, any other toiletries, medications, and a sleeping bag with sleeping pad.

*We provides tents, food, and other essential camping equipment. We can also loan sleeping bags and sleeping pads to those who do not have their own.

What kind of food will I eat at Overnight Adventure Camps?

The overnight food menu is planned, prepped and cooked by our Peer Leaders under the supervision of Camp Councellors. We try to incorporate as much from our community garden into meals as possible. We will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and follow a meat-free diet. Because the food menu varies week to week, we encourage you to reach out to us with any questions or concerns you may have.
